SCAD Parent's Weekend 2013

For parent's weekend 2013 we stayed in a lovely little vacation rental on Jones St in the heart of the Savannah Historic District. We stayed in this same home last year, but in a different unit. I really like this location because it is within convenient walking distance to everything and parking on the street is FREE - no meters! We always get a parking spot right out front with no problems!

The unit we stayed in this year is a 1 bedroom

The decor is very eclectic and entertaining...

Look at this lovely little office! I could work in there! LOVE the window

They even have hand painted art work in the bathroom :)

and just outside the bathroom is this beautiful chest full of linens - so pretty!

The kitchen is big and well appointed

The living room is spacious and so comfy!

We enjoyed hanging out in the living area watching the big TV and "helping" Madison with her project

If you'll be in Savannah, GA for more than just a night or two, you should definitely check out a vacation rental. You can live like a local and save a bundle. The per night rate is much less than what you can expect to pay at a hotel in the Historic District. This unit can be rented from Savannah Getaways here. You will also find many other units of various sizes available on the Savannah Getaways site. We stayed with them last year and had a wonderful experience - you can read about that here: Savannah - History, Art, & Beauty on Every Corner  and get a discounted rate on your stay just by mentioning my blog.

NOTE: I am not affiliated with Savannah Getaways, and I do not receive compensation for my opinions. I just have really enjoyed my experience with them and want to pass it on.
