The kids will sure love making this sweet treat!! From dropping all the different colored jelly beans into the melted candy to cracking the bark up into bite sized pieces, it's a fun treat to make and share with family and friends.

When Madison was young, the Easter Bunny would fill her basket with lots of fun little gifts and some candy sprinkled here and there. I was always on the look out for unique and fun ideas with which to fill her basket! Madison would end up with fun new books, horsey things, hair ties, and other fanciful odds and ends on Easter morning. It was always so much fun watching her find delight in the simplest of things.

The perfect place to find whimsical goodies such as these is Catching Fireflies. This store is loaded with fun gift ideas for all ages!

Jelly Bean Easter Bark Recipe

Ingredients

  • 12 ounces Ghirardelli White Melting Wafers
  • 1/4-1/2 pound of Jelly Beans

Instructions

  1. Line a 9x9" pan with parchment paper and set aside.
  2. Melt the white candy wafers as directed on the package. I heated them in a microwave on 50% power for 30 seconds at a time and stirred in between until I had a smooth consistency. Spread the melted white candy in the prepared pan and sprinkle jelly beans on top in a single layer until you have it just the way you like.
  3. Refrigerate until firm. About 1 hour. Break into pieces and enjoy!
Yield: 1 pound
Prep Time: 5 mins.
Total time: 5 mins.

  1. Marion! I used to do the same for my kids when they were little, and I still look for unique things to put out for them now that they are older. My middle son LOVED the Easter Bunny! lol We used to tease him that he loved EB better than Santa! haha What a great giveaway and such a unique store! I have to say, I'm loving the beer coaster set for my college son! Ha! Yes, he does use coasters! Love the looks of this bark too. So festive!

  5. this is amazing-I'm so excited - We're from Michigan-I grew up in Madison Hgts, my husband in Warren, 6 months before we were married we bought our first home...in Berkley, Michigan-we lived about 5 houses from 12 mile road, on Wakefield. There were amazing shops and restaurants a small grocery store, bowling alley, dairy queen and A&W drive in....I wonder if the bead shop is still there (down by the A&W) I'm so excited to have been able to participate in this awesome give a way. My sister in law and her 3 boys just moved to Berkley. It's a wonderful town and so close to wonderful cities and culture.
