Butternut Squash Cheesecake – The Best Thanksgiving Cheesecake Recipe

I know, I know — butternut squash in a cheesecake sounds a little unexpected. But trust me on this one. Think of everything you love about pumpkin pie — the creamy filling, the warm fall spices, the buttery crust — and imagine it all turned up a notch smoother, lighter, and more elegant.

Turkey Grilled Cheese with Cranberry and Brie

Besides the stuffing, one of the best things about our Thanksgiving meal is the leftovers! My family LOVES sandwiches made with a little mayo, leftover turkey, and a sprinkling of salt. Deliciously boring, right?! I decided it was time to liven things up around here, so I made this Turkey Grilled Cheese with Cranberry and Brie. Our taste buds are giving thanks!

How To Roast Turkey

How To Roast a Turkey | by Life Tastes Good for tender and moist results every time! Brine the turkey and roast to the perfect temperature for the best tasting roast turkey! #OXOTurkeyDay #Thanksgiving
How To Roast a Turkey and get melt-in-your-mouth results every time!

Are you the go-to person to roast the turkey this year on Thanksgiving? Do you know how to roast turkey? Are you nervous? I know I was the first year I shouldered this responsibility. The turkey is the star of the show, and I didn't want to be the one to ruin our Thanksgiving meal with a dry, tasteless bird!

No worries! I'll show you how to roast turkey to succulent deliciousness every time! This method of brining the turkey overnight in salt water and then roasting to the perfect temperature will deliver a beautifully moist and tender turkey that will live up to being the star of the Thanksgiving table every time!

Should you go fresh or frozen? I've done both. I was very disappointed in my so-called 'fresh' bird, so now I only buy frozen. Turkeys are immediately flash frozen, so in my strange little mind that makes them fresher than a 'fresh' turkey. This recipe can be used for fresh or frozen turkeys.

Homemade Turkey Gravy Recipe

Homemade Turkey Gravy | by Life Tastes Good brings your entire Thanksgiving dinner together. I use the turkey neck and giblets to create a flavorful gravy you'll want to pour on everything!
Homemade Turkey Gravy brings your entire Thanksgiving dinner together. It is like icing on the cake! A very important component of the dinner, so you want it to be fantastic, right?

Right! That's why we skip the jars and powder mixes and make up this simple gravy while the turkey is resting. It's easy to do, as low in fat as you want it to be, and tastes AHHH-mazing!

The flavor and color of your gravy will differ depending on what you use in your pan while cooking your turkey. I use white wine in my pan with a mix of carrots, celery, onion, thyme and always slather the turkey with butter. All of these flavors come together to make a rich, flavorful gravy you can't get from a jar or mix.

On Friday, November 14th, I'll be sharing my recipe 'How to Roast Turkey' for a beautifully moist and tender turkey that will be the star of your Thanksgiving dinner! Plus, they'll be a great giveaway, so stay tuned!!

Butternut Squash Orzo Pasta is an easy-to-make, delicious side dish full of all the healthy goodness that is butternut squash. It's also super versatile! A real winner!

Although, I am calling this a side dish, it easily converts to a satisfying main simply by adding your favorite protein. Or leave out the protein and enjoy this as a meatless meal. Your choice!

No matter how you serve this pasta dish, you can bet it will make a splash! With the wonderful combo of creamy butternut squash puree, fragrant sauteed garlic spinach, and the salty goodness of grated Parmesan Cheese, this pasta dish will make a great addition to any meal! Most especially the big one - your Thanksgiving Feast!

This Butternut Squash Orzo Pasta was inspired by my Orzo Pasta with Spinach and Parmesan. Hands down that recipe is the most popular on the blog, and it doesn't surprise me one bit! It is full of flavor, easy-to-make, and versatile too. I couldn't resist putting a new spin on it!

BBQ Cranberry Chicken
Sounds delicious, looks delicious, smells delicious...it IS delicious!

Whoever decided to add cranberry sauce to their bbq sauce is a genius! I am forever in your debt mystery person!

Cranberries and bbq sauce make magic together, like peanut butter and chocolate! They belong together!

This is a great recipe to make if you need to use up leftover cranberry sauce after Thanksgiving! I paired this BBQ Cranberry Chicken recipe with garlic mashed potatoes and fresh steamed green beans. It all looked so pretty on the plate, and the sauce was delicious with the potatoes...

Thanksgiving Menu Plan

Thanksgiving menu plan | by Life Tastes Good is a full menu and loaded with tips on how to pull off Thanksgiving with ease!
Thanksgiving is our favorite holiday! There is so much for which to be thankful! And, of course, we LOVE the food!

Are you hosting a Thanksgiving Dinner this year? Are you freaking out about how you are going to get it all done?

Relax! It's not about putting on the "perfect" dinner party. Remember it's about gathering with family and friends and giving thanks. Have fun and enjoy the holiday and assign someone else the dish washing duties!

I've been hosting our Thanksgiving family meal for several years now, and I have a plan that works for me. For the most part, having a plan lessens the stress, except for that year the oven went crazy and the turkey caught on fire, but that almost never happens! No worries!  Here is my menu with some tips mingled in that work for me...
